Playboy #1-12 The Complete First Year Bound Volume (HMH Publishing, 1953-1954).

A beautiful professionally bound collection of the entire first year of publication from the collection of Hugh Hefner's executive editor, Patricia Papangelis.

If the quality and pedigree of such an attractively bound piece of history isn't enough, further highlights include the first issue of the title with its historic cover and interior poster of Marilyn Monroe, plus fiction by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (Sherlock Holmes), "VIP On Sex" by famed cartoonist Virgil Partch, and a feature on Big Band stars the Dorsey Brothers.

Other notable attractions of Playboy's first year of publication included pictorials of "The Art of Heinrich Kley", "Evolution of the Bathing Suit", Lili St. Cyr, Gina Lollobrigida, and "Nudity In the Foreign Film"; plus fiction by Ray Bradbury, Erskine Caldwell, W. Somerset Maugham, and a cartoon pin-up from Milton Caniff.

A supreme offering for the serious Playboy collector, the first end page is signed by Patricia Papangelis, Hugh Hefner's executive editor, and the volume is bound in brown leather with Gold lettering along the spine.

The outside of the volume is Very Good to Fine, with scuffing to the top and bottom of the spine, the bottom edges, and each corner, while the interior pages and covers present Fine to Very Fine.
